Community Guidelines

Welcome to InsiderSetups.com, a community built by racers, for racers.

These Community Guidelines explain what we expect from everyone who uses InsiderSetups, including people who browse, save, rate, and upload setups or use other features on the site.

By using InsiderSetups.com, you agree to follow these guidelines along with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Content Submission Agreement.

Our goal is simple: keep InsiderSetups helpful, fair, and fun for the racing community.

1. Be Respectful

Treat other members of the racing community with respect.

We do not allow:

  • Harassment, threats, bullying, or personal attacks

  • Hate speech or discriminatory content

  • Abusive or intentionally disruptive behavior

  • Content intended to target or embarrass another user

A disagreement about a setup, lap time, or tuning choice is fine. Attacking the person behind it isn't.

2. Keep It Appropriate

InsiderSetups is a racing game community and should remain appropriate for a broad audience.

Do not submit or use the site to share:

  • Sexual or explicit content

  • Excessively graphic or disturbing content

  • Excessive profanity

  • Illegal content

  • Political campaigning or advocacy

  • Unrelated controversial content

  • Material that clearly has nothing to do with the purpose of the site

Keep the racing arguments about whether adding wedge actually fixed the car.

3. Share Your Own Work

Only submit setups and other content that you created yourself or have permission to share.

Do not take another person's setup from:

  • InsiderSetups

  • YouTube

  • Discord

  • Another website

  • Social media

  • A racing league or community

  • Any other creator

and upload it as your own.

If you found a great setup created by someone else, enjoy it. Just don't take credit for it.

Content that infringes another person's rights may be removed.

4. Keep Setup Information Honest

Community setups are most useful when everyone plays fair.

Do not:

  • Intentionally falsify lap times

  • Claim performance you did not achieve

  • Upload intentionally misleading setup information

  • Purposely place setups under the wrong game, series, or track

  • Upload fake or unusable setups to clutter the site

  • Misrepresent another person's setup as your own

Lap times naturally vary between drivers and conditions. We're not expecting every lap to be independently verified. We're simply asking users to be honest about what they submit.

5. Don't Manipulate Ratings or Site Features

Do not attempt to artificially influence how content performs on InsiderSetups.

This includes:

  • Using multiple accounts to increase likes or ratings

  • Using bots or automated tools to manipulate engagement

  • Coordinating fake ratings

  • Creating accounts primarily to manipulate rankings

  • Abusing site features in ways they were not intended to be used

Let the community decide which setups rise to the top.

6. No Spam or Unauthorized Promotion

Setup submissions are for sharing racing setups and useful information about them.

Do not use setup pages, usernames, submission fields, or other site features primarily to:

  • Advertise unrelated products or services

  • Repeatedly promote a website, league, channel, or social media account

  • Post referral or affiliate links

  • Distribute malicious or deceptive links

  • Flood the site with repetitive content

Relevant information that genuinely helps explain a setup is fine. Spam isn't.

7. Don't Abuse the Website

Do not intentionally interfere with InsiderSetups or attempt to misuse its systems.

This includes:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts or site systems

  • Using bots or automated tools to manipulate the site

  • Attempting to bypass site security or access restrictions

  • Intentionally overwhelming or disrupting site services

  • Mass scraping or systematically extracting site content in violation of our Terms of Use

  • Using InsiderSetups content to create or populate a competing setup database without permission

Normal browsing, search engine indexing, and ordinary sharing of links to InsiderSetups are not violations of this rule.

8. Accounts and Identity

Do not use an InsiderSetups account to intentionally impersonate:

  • Another InsiderSetups member

  • A professional driver

  • A racing team

  • A game developer or publisher

  • InsiderSetups staff

  • Another person or organization

Usernames intended as obvious jokes or racing references are fine as long as they aren't being used to deceive other users.

9. Age Requirements

InsiderSetups is intended for users who meet the minimum age requirements described in our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Users who do not meet those requirements may have their accounts restricted or removed.

Because younger racing fans may visit the site, please keep publicly submitted content appropriate.

10. Moderation

InsiderSetups may take action when content or account activity violates these guidelines or otherwise threatens the safety, fairness, or operation of the community.

Depending on the situation, actions may include:

  • Removing or hiding content

  • Removing likes or ratings believed to be manipulated

  • Restricting access to certain site features

  • Temporarily suspending an account

  • Permanently disabling an account

  • Taking reasonable technical measures to prevent repeated abuse

Not every violation will receive the same response. We may consider the seriousness of the issue, whether it was intentional, and whether there is a pattern of abuse.

InsiderSetups is not required to permanently host any submission or account.

11. Reporting a Problem

If you see something that appears to violate these guidelines, please use the Report an Issue page or contact:

insidersetups@gmail.com

Please include enough information for us to identify the setup, account, or issue you're reporting.

12. Changes to These Guidelines

InsiderSetups may update these Community Guidelines as the site, games, and community evolve.

The Effective Date at the top of this page will show when the guidelines were last updated.
